C. David Burtner, M.D. was born in Harrisonburg, Virginia and graduated with honors from Harrisonburg High School. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with Honors Bachelor of Science in both Chemistry and Biology from Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, Virginia and went on to receive his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia. He completed a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at West Virginia University Hospitals in Morgantown, West Virginia. Following that, his postgraduate training consisted of a Neuroradiology Fellowship at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Burtner joined RPA in 1991 and is board certified in Diagnostic Radiology with Special Competence in Nuclear Medicine. He also has a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Neuroradiology. David resides in Morgantown with his wife, Lisa, and their four daughters, Stephanie, Jessica, Sabrina and Sophia.
